As an alumni, you can continue to play an active role at DESY. For example, our alumni can contribute as jury members, mentors, volunteers or experts in the field of innovation. Let younger colleagues who are facing important career decisions benefit from your experience. Support the DESY start-up scene with your contacts. Or get involved in major DESY events and community activities.
Become a role model
Do you work in business or industry and previously did your doctorate or postdoc at DESY or one of its campus partners? What path did you take from science to industry? In what way did your work at DESY help you to get your current position? What experiences can you share with young colleagues who are facing similar career planning decisions? Become a role model and share your experiences with young scientists, e.g. in a short talk followed by a Q&A session, or become a contact person for young colleagues.
