Nobel laureate Anne L'Huillier to give lecture at DESY
LECTURE (English)
- 12.01.2024 | 14:00 h
- Hamburg | DESY, Auditorium, Build. 5
Nobel Laureate in Physics 2023: Anne L'Huillier, Lund University, Sweden
Anne L'Huillier from France is the fifth woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Physics since it was first awarded in 1901.
Lecture: When an intense laser interacts with a gas of atoms, high-order harmonics are generated. In the time domain, a sequence of attosecond pulses is generated, allowing excellent temporal resolution. This lecture gives a historical overview of the field of attosecond research, from the first discovery to today's applications.
Further information, including how to participate via Zoom, can be found here.
A lecture in the context of the Hamburg Photon Science Colloquium | Attosecond light pulses for the investigation of ultrafast electron dynamics.
