Data visualisation - an important tool in statistics

LECTURE from the series “DESY Science Café” (in German)

  • 27.11.2024 | 18:00 h
  • Hamburg | DESY & Online via ZOOM

Lecture by Dr. Martin Köhler

There are three kinds of lies: Lies, vicious lies and statistics”. Mark Twain thus expresses the distrust many people have of statistics. Despite their importance in science, it is crucial to recognise potential pitfalls. Visualizations help to avoid mistakes in interpretation. DESY's Martin Köhler gives exciting examples that illustrate how important it is to visualise data.
