DZNE-DESY COAST Meet-a-Role-Model Event (for Doctoral and Postdoctaral Researchers). Nele and Theda show that with a solid scientific foundation, one can transition to Science Policy Advisor or land a fulfilling job in Research Management. Join us, ask questions, network and find out if you could see yourself in a similar job!

Dr. Nele Müller worked at DESY on Electron Diffraction and Controlled Molecules, then switched to Scientific Assistant to the Head of Division Photon Science at DESY. She now works as Science Manager at the UHH.

Dr. Theda Backen has a background in Cognitive Neuroscience, worked as researcher at DZNE and transitioned to become Policy Advisor for the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in North Rhine-Westphalia.

ALPS is an experiment at DESY that is looking for a possible candidate for dark matter, the axion, or similar particles.
